Overview

Central Uni participated in JICA's “Vaiola Hospital Containerized ICU Project” and provided the medical facilities necessary to provide intensive care to medical sites in developing countries with a high need to strengthen treatment functions.
In Tonga, a 'container ICU' was introduced to target a short and rapid response to the COVID, which does not take long to set up locally.

In Tonga, where the medical system is under pressure due to the spread of COVID-19 infection, the Container ICU was introduced to enable treatment to begin as soon as the necessary equipment arrives, which does not take long to set up locally. In order to reduce the amount of work required locally, all the facilities and equipment necessary for the Container ICU were installed in Japan and assembled as containers, which were then transported to Tonga.
